Benjamin Kaneaiakala III the CEO of Phoenix Rising has over 29 years recovery and experience working in this industry. He is passionate about helping people and providing them with the tools necessary for recovery.
Dr. Alia Kaneaiakala, Psy.D, LMFT
Dr. Alia Kaneaiakala the Chief Clinical Officer of Phoenix Rising is a Psychologist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Dr. Kaneaiakala has over 10 years of experience in this industry and enjoys working with all populations. She brings a unique and creative clinical approach to treatment.
Lisa Neumann, BHP & CPC
Lisa Neumann is a Board Certified Bioenergetic Health Practitioner who received her education at Great Lakes School of Integrative Medicine. As an energy medicine professional, she works with BrainPaint™ (neurofeedback) and ThetaHealing® (meditative technique). Lisa has been in recovery since 2004 and is currently pursuing her Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certification through CCAPP. She is a certified professional recovery coach and author of Sober Identity: Tools for Reprogramming the Addictive Mind. She provides neurofeedback and facilitates groups at Phoenix Rising Behavioral Health Care Services.
Lauren M. is a Support Staff at Phoenix Rising Behavioral who assists individuals as they embark on the therapeutic process of self-discovery by expressing her personal experiences in a way that encourages others to see their shared issues and common solution through the fundamental 12 steps of the recovery process.
Lauren is a certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS), Registered Drug and Alcohol Technician (RADT1) and Direct Support Professional (DSP).
She is dedicated to the ongoing development of her care procedures and enjoys finding breakthroughs in the field of addiction therapy alongside her pursuit of higher education in Addiction Studies.
Lauren is passionate about person-centered development and provides recovery insight to those coping with mental illness, Co-dependency, Pseudo attachment, and/or drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Lauren is currently attending Saddleback College and is completing her internship hours to become a Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor. She is registered with the California Association for Alcohol/Drug Educators and has been working in addiction treatment for over 3 1/2 years. Lauren is passionate about inspiring others to achieve their goals and overcome personal obstacles.
Dr. Michele Okonski, Psy.d., MS
Dr. Michele Okonski is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with experience working with many diverse populations including Veterans and individuals diagnosed with addictions and eating disorders. Her goal is to help people improve on their ability to cope with interpersonal/relational difficulties(social, working, couple, sexual etc.) and problems in their lives in an atmosphere that is safe and supportive. There is a focus on interpersonal interactions to help address relationship and emotional difficulties and to encourage personal development ultimately helping individuals to replace existing maladaptive behavior patterns with more constructive and effective ones.
